Why a Snail?

Our snail has always meant more than moving slowly.

In his 17th-century poem The Snail, Richard Lovelace saw something remarkable in the small snail. A self-contained creature that moves through the world at its own pace, carries its protection with it, and draws what it needs from within.

He called it the “sage snail.”

We like that.

To us, the snail represents something women aren't told often enough: you don't have to keep pace with anyone else. You don't have to reveal more than you want to. And you don't have to change yourself to meet somebody else's idea of what you should be.

There is wisdom in knowing yourself.

There is confidence in moving through the world on your own terms.

That's why you'll find our little snail tucked discreetly into every BangPanty.

She's not there for anyone else.

She's there for you.
